Founded by Dr. Kenneth Fils in 1995, Davken Associates has been a trusted provider of psychological services to residents in long-term care, including assisted and independent living, memory care, and rehabilitation facilities.

Davken was built to address the unique emotional and cognitive needs of the population we serve with compassion and clinical excellence.

Each member of our team is carefully trained to address the wide range of issues facing our clients, using Davken’s procedures and protocols specifically designed for this environment.

In addition, we work closely and collaboratively with facility staff to coordinate meaningful on-site care. With deep experience across hundreds of facilities, Davken has earned an outstanding reputation in the long-term care community for improving mood, addressing behavioral and adjustment issues, and helping enhance the quality of life for the residents we serve.

We are more than a mental health provider. We are a clinical partner, an advocate, and an essential presence that residents and staff can trust. We have earned the trust and confidence of facility administrators, owners, staff, and residents over our many years of operation.

Dr. Kenneth Fils serves as President and Clinical Director of Davken, with over 40 years of clinical experience and more than 30 years focused on long-term care. In 1995, he founded the company after seeing firsthand the unmet need for specialized behavioral health services in nursing facilities, and he has guided Davken ever since. Dr. Fils created the structured clinical model that remains the cornerstone of the company, giving clinicians the supervision, tools, and consistency they need to help residents thrive. Under his leadership, Davken has brought stability and improved quality of life to thousands of older adults across Illinois. In addition to running the company, he lectures frequently, appears on radio programs, and has delivered hundreds of in-service trainings to facility staff on mental health care for aging and medically complex populations. His leadership is defined by clinical excellence, decades of hands-on experience, and an enduring passion for raising standards in long-term care behavioral health..

Yehuda Schwartz serves as Chief Executive Officer of Davken, working closely with Dr. Fils to guide the company’s strategic growth and long-term vision in behavioral health. He drives new partnerships, expands Davken’s footprint across Illinois, and ensures the organization continues to innovate while staying true to its mission of excellence in long-term care.

Monica Ruiz serves as Vice President of Operations, overseeing the day-to-day coordination that keeps Davken running smoothly. From staffing and scheduling to documentation and compliance, she ensures that clinicians and administrators have everything they need to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
